Favorite Food Trucks on Bonaire: A Taste of the Island
One of the things we love most about Bonaire is the incredible range of food trucks scattered around the island. Whether you’re craving a juicy burger after a swim or looking for a quick bite to enjoy by the beach, these food trucks never disappoint. Here are a few of our personal favorites:
Cactus Blue: The Famous Kiteburger
We’re regulars at Cactus Blue, not only for the cheerful, brightly colored truck but for the incredible burgers they serve. Our personal favorite is the Kiteburger—it’s famous for a reason! They also make a Lionfish burger, which is not only delicious but also helps control the invasive lionfish population around Bonaire. If you’re keen to try it, make sure to arrive early; it’s often sold out by 12:30 PM.
You’ll find Cactus Blue parked at Donkey Beach, where you can enjoy your burger with a stunning ocean view. It’s one of our go-to spots for a casual lunch by the sea.
Stoked Foods Bonaire: Great Food, Stunning Views
If you head over to Te Amo Beach, you can’t miss the big red bus of Stoked Foods. It’s parked there every day from 12:00 to 8:00 PM, and the sight of the bus alone—set against the white sands of Te Amo Beach and the azure blue sea—is worth the visit. But don’t just stop for a photo—Stoked has some of the best wraps and burgers on the island. We recommend trying the chicken wrap or their blue cheese burger with wedges. They’re the perfect beachside meal, and we always find ourselves returning for more.
Kite City: Tuna Burgers and Homemade Sangria
Also located at Te Amo Beach, Kite City is another must-visit food truck. You’ll find it parked there daily (except Sundays) from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, just a short walk from Stoked Foods. What really sets Kite City apart is their tuna burgers—they’re incredibly fresh and flavorful. And if you’re in the mood for a drink, don’t miss out on their homemade sangria, which pairs perfectly with a day at the beach.
Each of these food trucks offers something unique and they’ve become a beloved part of our Bonaire experience. Whether you’re spending the day at the beach or just passing by, grabbing a bite from one of these trucks is a delicious way to enjoy Bonaire’s laid-back island vibe.
